To step inside Moon Lab Studios is to step inside a lush, colorful haven filled with vintage synthesizers, high def-tubed microphones, pre-amps, and other boutique equipment that is a perfect match for the vibrant indie scene south of Austin where it sits within.

Husband and wife owners Barb and Jonray are bringing their vision to life with an iconic selection of musical instruments,  a laid back, inspiring atmosphere perfect for new and vetran artists, as well as a dash of essential oils to lift the mood, complimentary tea, and of course, their signature— a plethora of analog synthesizers.

While music is their specialty, Barb and Jonray embrace all the creative avenues their studio can offer including, production, tracking, mastering, live set consultation and artist development packages.

“We want the studio to help bring your ideas to life. For our guests to leave with more than just a piece of recording—whether it’s music, a meditation or a podcast but a memorable experience that allowed them to create to their fullest potential.”

The logo of Moon Lab Studios is a representation of both sides of the moon. According to Barb, the logo symbolizes “the balance with both Jonray and I running the studio.” Re-located to Dripping Springs, this hill country haven-based recording studio uses a collection of rare vintage synthesizers. Located on 11 acres just outside of South Austin with 2 guest houses available. After 8 years, the bilingual studio is the perfect space to capture your musical project.
